Private Cooking Class
Experience firsthand the taste of Tuscany. First you’ll tour our organic vegetable garden and then you will cook with fresh items assisted by our Chef. You’ll get hands on, instructed on how to create a Tuscan meal. Our goal is to expose you to all the Good Tastes of Tuscany. We guarantee an unforgettable experience.
The courses will be done in a group. The lessons will take place in our kitchen with practical and theoretical training according to the level chosen.
The duration will be 4 hours.
The course includes dinner for participants and a gadget of Livernano (t-shirt, hat, etc).
A) COOKING CLASS- FIRST LEVEL
The course includes the preparation of fresh pasta and bread:
Theory and of bakery; preparation of different types of breads, pizza, focaccia, flavored breads and special breads (croissant, milk bread and food bread).Use of yeasts. Use of oven and bakery timing.
Theory and practice regarding the preparation of fresh egg pasta with flour and semolina; stuffed and flavored pasta.
The course consists of a minimum of 2 participants to a maximum of 6. The cost is Euro 140,00 per person.
B) COOKING CLASS- SECOND LEVEL
The course includes the preparation of two courses chosen from the vegetable menu, Tuscan menu or fish menu (please see below).
Theoretical explanation of the chosen dishes, ingredients and nutritional facts.
Realization techniques and cooking.
The course consists of a minimum of 2 participants to a maximum of 6. The cost is Euro 150,00 per person.
C) COOKING CLASS- THIRD LEVEL
The course includes the preparation of a full menu chosen from vegetable menu, Tuscan menu or fish menu (please see below).
Theoretical explanation of products and ingredients. Nutritional facts.
Origin and explanation of the dishes.
Technical preparation and cooking specifications.
The course consists of a minimum of 2 participants to a maximum of 6. The cost is Euro 170,00 per person.
VEGETARIAN MENU ‘
Zucchini flan with cream of Tuscan pecorino.
Mugello Tortelli stuffed with potatoes and nipitella (Lesser Calamint) on a basil and walnut sauce.
Egg Pancake stuffed with eggplant, olives and capers on a cream of tomato with extra virgin olive oil.
Vanilla Biancomangiare (Sicilian sweet pudding).
Pecorino cheese soufflé with pears sautéed in Livernano honey.
Vegetables Lasagne with saffron cream and sautéed mushrooms.
Brisé pie with red onions on a vinegar reduction and-dried tomatoes.
Strawberry and mint bavarese cake.
TUSCAN MENU ‘ (meat)
Pappa al pomodoro (Ancient Tuscan dish with bread and tomatoes).
Pici with cheese and pepper.
Fillet with herbs and crispy sweetbreads.
Crisp bread basket with spelt salad and citrus.
Pappardelle pasta with ragù (meat sauce).
Honey duck breast with Vin Santo sillabub.
Chocolate Zuccotto (Typical Tuscan semifreddo).
FISH MENU ‘
Cod and leek pie.
Black risotto (with squid).
Red Mullet Livornese Style.
Semifreddo with lemon and Tuscan cookies.
Squid stuffed with broccoli and spicy lentils sauce.
Carbonara Pasta with sea prawns.
Tuna Fillet in sesame crust and orange cream.
Panna cotta with rum sauce and red fruits.
